2004 MCS stock - 16.07 @ 87.5

Not my car, but I was driving it for my ex g/f, we're still friends and all...she will probably drive it herself next time, but she was wanting to know what to do at the track first, I'm at the track all the time in my car lol.

heres the slip:

60': . 2.537
330:. 6.896
1/8:. 10.445
MPH: 69.34
1000: 13.507
1/4: . 16.079
MPH . 87.58

That was my best launch by far...I'm used to launching a FWD auto that has a lot of torque, but this thing is a lot different. I launched at 3k rpms and it spun a bit, but still did better than when I launched at 1500 rpms and didn't spin.

on a side note, I ran 7 times that night, and didn't miss a single gear all night, I love the shifter in that car, it's so precise.

edit - aww wtf, it won't let me space them out to where it's easy to read the timeslip...are you not allowed to put more than two consecutive spaces?

A little more practice with the car should get you 60' times down. Nice Runs. Good to see more people into drag racing.

well thank you I figured I'd get laughed at pretty bad because my 60' sucked...I'm used to having 2.1 60' times, so I was pretty embarrassed lol, but I guess it's because of how the track was prepped. It was just frustrating, not getting it in the 15's, I know it has a 15.9 in it (the track I run at is reputable for being one of the worst tracks for times in the US)...the MPH is there, but the 60' isn't haha

oh well, it's still a blast to drive the thing

edit - Midnight on the dragon, that wouldn't have been the mini cooper meet on the Tail of the Dragon by any chance? If so, I live like 45 minutes away from there lol

I really wanted to head out to that, and steal her cooper, I've never even personally been to the dragon, though it's close, my car can't handle for crap. My dad took his 03 cobra out once, but it's also not built for the twisties to the extent that the cooper is...one day though, I'm gonna steal that cooper and take it out there
