Whats the best way to launch an 05 MCS automatic!
anybody know the best way to launch and MCS automatic? its a pretty easy questiong to figure out. but i just want some more opinions on this subject.
Well, with any auto, youy need to powerbrake it to get ready.
i havent personally launched a MINI, but i have launched FWD auto's. Ive found that its much easier to lauch with a manual, but the auto is far more consistent.
ask MDSBrain, i know he has a few runs under his belt.

I have never driven a auto mini but I have driven alot of other autos at the drag strip.... The only problem with Launching a auto is it is bad on the torque converter.. But for the best times if you hold the brake with your left foot and press the accelerator with your right (of course) with the motor in gear too (of course) rev the car until you quit gaining RPMs it should be around 2300 or so... Then when the light goes green FLOOR IT!!
That the fastest way I have every been able to get a auto to launch...

Any one that complains about inconsistencies of Manuel transmissions are not true drivers you have to "BE the valve body" you have to consistently clutch and shift at desired shift point
Yes it takes a brain and good reflexes but it is possible to have consistent passes in a Manuel trans car
My point is of course to point out that it is not the equipment that is inconsistent it is the person in the seat mashing the pedals and holding on to the wheel that are inconsistent?
