1/8 Mile Runs
1/8 Mile Runs
Just went to the local 1/8th mile last night and was rather happy with the results.
With only a CAI, header, cat back, and MTH... I ran a 9.521 @ 75.3 mph. It was rather muggy and had rained earlier, so I believe it could of been a little faster.

I did 10.2 @71 with a 15%, CAI and MTH on 17" runflats.

I am going to the track today to see what the injectors and GIAC do. Also am going to try freezing the inercooler by spraying a CO2 tank on it.

1/4 Mile Track
I just took my 2005 MCS to the local 1/4 mile track for the first time, my best run was 15.428 sec. 90.15 MPH, I have no MODs just the sports package, had the DSC turned off. Was just seeing what it would do before I added any MODs.
I am a consistent 2.34-2.36. I run 14.8's in the quarter, with 9.6's in the 8th. All of this is on my car with just under 1000 miles on it in the warm AZ nights. It has a pulley and exhaust with stock 17" runflats. My car has about 20 passes on it. I launch from 2700rpm.
Have any other MINIs out there turned an 8 second time in the 1/8th?
It was very difficult to do with my azenis. 60 ft time was was 2.25. If I toss drag slicks into the mix with a full tank of nitrous, I should see 1.9-1.8 60 ft times along 8.5-8.2 et's. Anyone have a set of cheap and light 15's?

Last night was deffinately a suprising night for everyone... Including a guy in a 300zx twin turbo. With nitrous last night I turned a 8.6 at 85mph.
I found that my nirtous times were suffering compared to my non nitrous times. This was do to the fact that I wasn't able to flat shift with nitrous because I was using a WOT switch. Last night I used a push button. While this takes a bit of cordination to do it does allow you to flat shift.
Now to find a twin charged mini to eat up.

My best three out of 16 runs on my first night drag racing (1/8th). Power mods are one-ball, CAI, 15% (+ 16lb 16" wheels mated to crappy Hankook k106 tires):
reaction - .7922
60 ft ----- 2.2867
330 ft --- 6.3296
1/8 ------ 9.7149
MPH ----- 72.69
reaction - .6631
60 ft ----- 2.2998
330 ft --- 6.3419
1/8 ------ 9.7207
MPH ----- 72.71
reaction - .7550
60 ft ----- 2.2820
330 ft --- 6.4709
1/8 ------ 9.8820
MPH ----- 72.22
My worst run was a 10.8870 with a 1.4080 reaction time and a 3.2871 60 ft, so I improved a bit
