ok .. someone please tell me the correct way to handle this.........I have two scrathes......one is on the window frame(black) going from hood to roof.........probably a stone

and the other... was SELF INFLICTED>oh damn it!

its on the driver door silver..........should I just touch it up with a bottle or? I saw a method some time back in a BMW book that used a pencil eraser and some fine sandpaper to prep area and then touch up.......

thoughts anyone?
