Conditioning leatherette, suggestions

Yeah I know its not real, but I thought about using my Griots leather conditioner or Leathermans conditioner on the seats. If anything it will smell great, thats for sure, because Griots smells like they melted a brand new baseball glove right into the bottle

So, what do you guys use?

I'm not sure what effect leather conditioner would have, but I think it may just make the seats greasy - the leatherette is not going to absorb it like leather would.

I use Pinnacle Leather and Vinyl Cleaner only on the seats and I use their conditioner on the steering wheel.

kenchan is talking about Prima Nero, which is a vinyl/plastic/rubber dressing and protectant. It's a popular option for leatherette seats, as well as other vinyl, plastic and rubber parts.

I agree with Mark C... any leather conditioner product will not be absorbed and will just sit on top and be greasy, etc. I would recommend using a vinyl product. Leatherette is just vinyl.

I know you'd rather have a product that makes the leatherette smell like leather but unfortunately you need leather in order to achieve that. Look at the bright side... leatherette is much easier to care for than leather!

I use Nero and/or Aerospace 303 depending on the mood I'm in. Usually Nero though.

I use Vinylex for the seats, but any vinyl treatment should suffice (303, Nero, etc, etc). The oils in leather conditioners will not be absorbed by the vinyl so I would expect them to make your seats greasy.

Because I detail cars on the side I do have a product that's to be used on vinyl as well as a cleaner for vinyl/leather, so I'll be using that. I buy alot of these products from top of the line. I will be using my Griots leather scent though, better stock up on it
