Perma Plate Mini detailing products anyone tried them?

I picked up my Mini on friday and so did my brother in law, he is thinking on buying the perma plate bundle of products that they sell on the dealership.
has anyone tried them?
are they any good?
are they worth it? its like $600 and they give you products every 6 months for 5 years
i told him to call Heather at DP but he is seriously thinking about Perma Plate... but not sure if products are any good!

I wouldn't do it. It's $600 for a process that costs the dealer about $20 plus labor.

Stay away from the Perma-Plate. See above post.

I joked with Chickenbrain offline, that for $600, I'll fly to his brother in laws MINI and apply 2 coats of Prima. Then I offered to send him 1 ounce of Prima Epic (from the 16OZ bottle) twice a year for the next 5 years. A single bottle should last 8 years at that rate!

which reminds me.... why make such a big bottle? 8oz bottle would still
last a couple of years.
