Strange smells after repaint and scratches
I picked the car up yesterday and had to head back as the rear window weatherstripping was bulging off the glass. They quickly swapped out the clips and all is well, except now I have strange and fresh scratches just below the beltline that were NO DOUBT a result of this quick swap. I think they will buff out, but I was wondering how soon I can use m80 on this fresh paint...and wax for that matter. Maguiars says now for m80, and that it actually helps to cure the paint in its clearest form. My paint guy said 60 days for any wax. Ideas?
Also, the cabin has a strange adhesive smell to it and I figure it has to be something from the repaint. Anyone experience this before? Will it just go away in time. I am really glad its not real hot out here right now as it is almost like sniffing duco cement from the tube.
