About to Place a DP Order - What am I missing?
Alrighty Ms. Heather. Thanks for the explination. I have noticed that armor all does not last very long. Thats what I'm looking for the most - something that will last. So, heres what I've decided. (Again lol)
The silicone gel for the exterior - tires only. I like deep black shiny tires. Thats just me.
And for the trim, arches ect...Nero.

And for the trim, arches ect...Nero. Keep in mind that most silicone-based dressing/protectants tend to attract dust. Having said that though, the grade and variety of silicone can vary so dramatically that it really depends on which silicone is used. Also, many products contain a wee amount of silicone that doesn't cause dust attraction. Just the same- something to keep in mind when looking for a silicone based product (read: I'd suggest testing it out with a small bottle of it before diving into a gallon jug
).
Just food for thought...

, Wizards Black Renew will last longer than Nero on the exterior bits (and it has some hefty cleansers in case you have residue on the bits).
Here's a tip for the tires (maybe you already know this, but here goes anyway)... the silicone gels tend be a little goey and they sling (or fling, depending on what part of the detailing country your from) up onto the body if you apply and drive. Wait for 20 minutes or so then wipe down the tires to remove any excess gel. By then, what you need on there is already on there and removing the excess will help prevent the slinging.
Whenever I use a glossy tire dressing (yes, it's true... sometimes I like an obnoxious shine on my tires for variety!), I apply it in the evening when I'm not going to drive again until morning. I still do the wait 20 minutes and wipe down, but I also do it again in the AM before I drive. It's better to be **** about it then than to clean it off your paint, IMO.
Have fun! That's really what it's all about at the end of the day.
