2 interior-related gripes (symptoms of OCD?)

There are two things that really bug me regarding the way that the interior handles wear & tear.

1) The "glass" on the instruments scratched SOOOO easily - these tiny scratches that are really only visible at certain angles or when there is direct sun on them, but nonetheless - these are from a basic damp wipedown of the interior.

2) The stereo buttons are losing that wonderful satin finish that they had from the factory - mainly the scan up button, as its the only one I press, really (which is full-on gloss now)

Has anyone else noticed these things, and if so are there any fixes?

thanks

I too have scrathed instrument faces and also did not beat on these with anything other than good microfiber. I would love to find something to polish them out and hope they stay sharp.

I third the gripe of the scratched instrument faces. I don't remember ever wiping them with anything and the other day I noticed "swirls". I taken the scratches off my iPod with Brasso... *eeek* Not sure I wanna try that on the MINI though!

I found just the thing to deal with those minor swirls & scratches in our instrument faces - it's called Plexus and it works really great. You can get it from Autopia at this address: http://www.autopia-carcare.com

1. Luckily, I have only ever used a light dusting motion. I have never rubbed. But, I think that stuff that fills in scratches on eyeglasses would work. http://www.amazon.com/NOV7033-Novus-.../dp/B000B4SCPA

2. Makes me glad I have the old 2-spoke. Try a bit of Nero on them maybe. But from so much wear, I would imagine not too much can be done?
