Haha, thanks Heather. Since our ShowCarGarage colors are like a bruise--Purple and Black--it kinda works too.
Haha interesting post. I think you guys kinda missed the post about me expecting to release the product by AMVIV?
That means, that I expect to have testing finalized and some production beginning by AMVIV (about 3 weeks) so the general population may order after that. MOTD was just a tease if you wanted to see it working in person.

DP will be there and I'm also hoping to convince OctaneGuy to join us for some detailing fun in the beautiful Rocky Mountains.
(yes, Richard, I'm putting you on the spot!

OOooh an invite! Hmmmmmmm, that sounds like fun. I've never done MITM, though I've heard about it. I might just have to take you up on that.

HEY!!! Why isn't anyone mentioning MINIs in the Mountains?!?! It's perfectly situated in the middle of Vegas and the Dragon. Ok, so maybe not *right* in the middle, but close enough!

OG, you were invited to MITM months ago when you were looking for a location to shoot your next vid.
Heather, hope to actually see you up there this year. Your DP door prizes were awesome by the way!
Yeah, come drive some real mountains! I think the signature event is to drive to the top of Mt. Evans (+14000') at midnight and do the raised bonnet headlight thing. Too cool (um ... and a little chilly too)!
No excuses! I'm sure your relatives miss you very much and would like to see you, say, in late August??
-Heather
Last time I was out of the country and couldn't be there. I was really disappointed though. For this year, I requested the dates way ahead of time from Jonathan and blocked it on my calendar.
I should really send Nick instead because he knows more than I do. But then again, I can't let him have all the fun! I just can't. I'm too fun-greedy.

Okay, so I am peeking into the darkside a bit. Ordered the PRIMA pack from Coopersport, and a couple goodies (like Hydro) from DP (but the PRIMA pack also comes from DP, so I am still confused there...but oh well business is business
Now I am waiting for it all to get here, then it's off to by a couple buckets and start cleaning my car! (I hope it warms up)....it would be real nice if somebody would make a sticky of the "steps" to take for a truly spectacular looking MINI...I know, I know, it's in this thread but the thread is now, what, 10 pages?
Anyway, thanks for the inspiration, and I hope I don't get all OC but if I do, oh well.....

DetailersParadise.com is the retail side of Prima Car Care the manufacturer. Both of which are owned by Heaher and Nick. Coopersport is a also a retailer for Prima, as is my own company--ShowCarGarage.com.
So it's really not that confusing. Prima is the manufacturer and everyone else is a retailer.
re: Sticky
While it's a good idea, there really is no single way of making a spectacular looking MINI. You can follow my writeups--do an Advanced Search under OctaneGuy for my writeups--to see, but every MINI is different.
The pads, chemicals, how much pressure to use on the PC all vary. You might take a look at my DVD in the NAM store if you're not sure about how to get the spectacular finish you are looking for. It will show you everything you need to know in 2.5 hours.

Just to prove I've gone completely over to the dark side (thanks a lot people!), when I received my new SINMINI license plate from the DMV, I Hydro'd so it would stay clean longer!
Ooooooooh has anybody seen this bucket? I have never noticed it before on the website. It's a chair, it's a wash bucket, it's on wheels
& it looks so cool. All for a fairly reasonable price

MBE it is a new product then because I order there frequently too & have never noticed it til recently.
Sin MINI... welcome to the dark side! It was truly our pleasure to "turn" you.You know you have a problem when you creep about your house and surroundings armed with a bottle of Hydro... just looking for things to Hydro!

So, uh, since my products are arriving (I think tomorrow is going to be detailing day for me!) can I/should I use NERO on the interior (i.e. dash?) what else can I use to keep the interior spiffy? The dash is what, vinyl? And the rest is either plastic (hard) or leather (soft) right? I'm trying to keep myself from screwing up is all.

yes, you can use Nero on the dash and door panels.
if you have a painted dash (like me) people have said to treat it just like the outside paint bits... to wax it. I haven't done that, but I am planning to use Prima Hydro on them. I just haven't yet.
i've heard you can use Nero on the seats too, and that it might create some short-term slipperiness unless you wipe it off really well, but that it goes away fairly quickly. i havne't done that etiher... yet.

For your seats, do you have leatherette or leather? If leatherette, then use Nero. (leatherette is just a high grade vinyl that resembles leather) If leather, then you should only use a dedicated leather product.
Any leather-like material anyplace other than the seats is leatherette and, again, should be treated like any other vinyl- with Nero.
Hope that helps!
Heather
