Did I see a previous post where you mentioned you are in Ohio too, or am I thinking of someone else? Yeah, I have a coating of road salt about 1/4 of inch thick all over the MINI, and on my way home from work today, I was cut off by a brine truck who was spilling

Yeah, I think I have a mild obsession brewing here. I was looking at other cars and thinking, "Ok, I will tape that off, and....."

So the detailing diet, eh Ken? Yeah, I'm afraid at this point I will eventually drink the Clarity and put Diet Coke on the windshield. HAHA Perhaps I should tell my husband to dial 9-1- and wait for my yells....

Haha. Yea I am in Solon. The roads are unbelievable. We took my friends SRT-4 out today and slid all over on the rock salt. So bad. Good luck with cleaning the MINI!

hahaha. Hydro smells real good too, so dont start drinking
fruit juice while you're detailing cause you really might drink it
by accident.

but i heard PrimaEpic on smoked salmon takes pretty good. jk (dont do that!)

huh, they call them ODOT in Ohio, huh? we call ours IDOT but it's
missing the other "I"

they do alright as long as they dont go too crazy
with the salt. rather salt than slipping into another car.

Uuugh - Brendan knows EXACTLY what I'm talking about. I have been refilling washer fluid like crazy. The roads, which are normally dark grey are literally WHITE when they dry because of all the salt & brine. Yeah, ODOT always makes me think of idiot, too, but IDOT is just TOO funny....

Brendan, you hear we're getting a pretty good lake effect storm? N. Summit Cty is expecting about a foot of snow supposedly. Down here in Akron, we are expecting about 6 inches.

I go to school in Summit county (Walsh Jesuit) and i just left the climbing gym and it wasn't too bad, but when i got home, there was about 7 inches on the ground already, and its dumping. hopefully we get a snowday.

yah, you can say im a griots junkie not just for the detailing stuff but
for the stuff around the garage (check my gallery ). they have some
really neat stuff and prices are not that expensive considering their
reliable service.

this time i took advantage of their garage sale and got the dust pan
with handle along with a magnetizer/demagnetizer thingie for
my tools, and a free 8oz bottle of SprayOn wax. i threw away my
previous free 8oz empty bottle and regretted it cause the size is perfect
for doing spot waxing like on mirrors and a-pillars when you put a hairspray
fine mist sprayhead on it.

everything arrived on time... man this dust pan is cool.

I can honestly say I've never seen someone get so excited over a dustpan. j/k of course. Sounds like something I would get excited about.

On a separate note (Brendan, I am so sorry that I have totally hijacked your thread - that really is a cool light!), if I remember, Ken, you have a toddler? Which car seat do you use for the MINI? I am looking at a Recaro for our baby Ben when he can ride forward in a couple of months.

yah, i suppose i am alittle crazy but it's a bright red metal dust
pan with handle and it's real cool. matches my trash can and many
red things i got in the garage.

i have a 2.5yr old and dont use the MCS for carrying my kid around.
i have a EddieBaur (sp?) seat in my civic (a cheep $70 one) and
another typical brand one on our Legacywagon (like $99?). both were
bought at BabiesRus/ToysRus. if i do put a car seat on my MCS,
it would be the Recaro for sure. both are good for 20-100 and 20-80lbs.

when the kid is an awkward(?) size, his/her leg can't bend at the
knee and ends up with scuffed seatbacks. it has nothing to do with
dad or mom not teaching the kid to behave...just a matter of size.
recently he's legs have grown and been pretty good with not scuffing
up anything in the car so that's why i might give him a chance in my
MCS on the weekends.

here's the Recaro Young Sport... about $250 at most stores:
http://www.recarochildseats.com/sportChildSeats.asp i haven't tried
this store, but probably will buy from them.
