So basically other than a ridiculously expensive wax this guy basically does the same detailing steps I do to my Mini & uses products that cost about the same as mine do (other than the wax) & he charges $10K. WOW there are some foolish rich people in Britain

Somebody PM OctaneGuy & tell him he needs to move to Great Britain for a few years so he can retire young

Octane Guy doesn't charge enough then. He even has one of those gauges that tests the paint's thickness...

most of the products he uses can be purchased from DP, a forum sponsor. Save your self 8 grand a buy it all yourself, including the wax.

Yeah for 10k you can have your car shipped out so that Octaneguy can work it over give him a two thousand dollar tip and ship it back and still have several thousand left to take your car to a photoshoot

And I don't even think that car was really dirty to being with. I do like the fancy little gadets he is using. I wonder why I don't see those in the Griots catolog .

A well detailed car gains at least 10 horsepower.

Haha you guys are funny. Yeah this vid has been circulated a couple hundred thousand times. The British guy is a good marketer. What he does to a car isn't anything exotic. There is no difference between the paint on an exotic versus a daily driver, except for maybe the risk if you screw up. LOL

He's actually got a great service for being on call 24/7 to remove bird poo from your car anywhere you are on a moments notice! But unfortunately, unless he has a way to teleport him from place to place, bird poo etching will do its deed within 10 seconds of landing on the paint, so once again--it's marketing at work.

I do work for a few shops who tell me that I should be charging atleast $1,000 for my work (I'm sure they bill out my work to the customer for that). I sure would like to be doing that. Geez, I could do like 5 cars a month and then spend the rest of the time here on NAM, oh wait, I already do that--except I do 10 to 15 cars, lol.

Or you could go over to the UK for one month out of the year and do two or 3 cars a day and then take the rest of the year off.

so if you get a bird crap on your car, then that's your $10K bird poop.

(similar to buy one IPP, get one free octanestyle thinking? )

I wonder if they give you lifetime refills on the Royal wax if you use it in a commercial venture... Would they start to catch on if you send your container back for a refill 4-5 times a year?

I'm fairly sure if you buy Royale, they will refill it regardless of what it is used for.

You use so little of it though when you apply it. Let's see at $10k a detail...I bet he hasn't refilled it yet

That guy is a master marketer. Supposedly the Royale really is a step above the rest, though.
