Clarity window cleaner
that's wat ive been doing the whole time.
Well, I asked them if they can make a bathrobe out of the Monster Fluffy material, and I know I wasn't the first person to ask! I was told that it would be difficult, because right now, they can't get the material in bulk form wider than 24 inches.
My wife sews, and she told me that the "standard" width for fabrics is 40 inches, so any patterns for making robes, shirts, pants, etcetera would be based on a 40-inch fabric width.
But if they ever figure it out, I'll definitely buy some!

I havent read through the entire post.... But what is a good glass cleaner to use on the inside of windows that are tinted????? I have heard many opinions on different cleaners purpleing the tint....
What do you guys think?

The chemical responsible for "purpling" window tint is ammonia, so it's best to avoid that. Some of the glass cleaners use vinegar as the grease-cutting agent instead, and that's fine for tint. The container will say if it's safe for tint.
I've never found a glass cleaner that absolutely "wows" me. (Likewise, I've never found a metal polish that really seems to stand out from the rest). Right now, I'm using Stoner's "Invisible Glass", and it's the best I've found so far. When I run out of it, I'm going to try some of the DP Clarity, just to see what the fuss is about.

Prima Clarity does not have any ammonia or alcohol. So, as bamatt pointed out, Clarity is safe on tinted windows and soft plastics too. It is excellent in cleaning the stubborn gunk on the inside of windshields, especially when you use it with a good quality microfiber glass cloth.
By the way, you can dramatically cut back on the amount of gunk that accummulates on the inside of your windshield by using a good UV protectant on your dash. The release/evaporation of a chemical found in your dash's vinyl causes the inside windshield gunk. Since UV rays cause the chemicals to be evaporated, a UV protectant will help solve this problem.
One of the best UV protectants for your dash is 303 Aerospace Protectant. Prima Nero also has UV protectant in it.

My 06 legacy use to accumulate this out gassing from the dash on the
winshield and was pretty bad... i had to wipe the inner windows almost
every 2-3 weeks. until I tried Nero. HUGE difference!
now my Legacy is just like any other car.
I am a big fan of Windex and newspaper. Cleans easily and no streaks, no lint. Inside or out. And you don't have to wash it, just toss it.
your car too?
does anyone know if this product will polish glass? I'm trying to find the right product to clean the glass on my other neglected car (jeep). The glass on that car has some really hard stains on it. i even tried claying the glass.
thanks
thanks
i haven't tried it on a jeep yet (i have a cherokee), but it has worked on our Passat and has cleaned my laptop screen cleaner than it has ever been. ever. its really nice. make sure you get it with the MF glass cleaning cloth though. its only like 2 extra dollars when compared to the bottle of Clarity on its own.
First, Clarity is great stuff, but Clarity and the DP glass MF is even better.
Story - Yesterday I'm doing my windows inside and out. Spray, set the bottle of clarity down next to the bottle of Prima Nero, wipe the window, go get the Clarity, repeat...
You guessed it... I pick up what I thought was Clarity and proceeded to spray a nice bunch of Nero on my side window.... not good. Took quiet some time to reverse that mistake...
Now my Nero bottle, which used to look far too much like my Clarity bottle has two orange tape stripes around it.
Heather - any chance you can make the bottles look different for idiots like me???? hehe

yo'sdad- your nose must be stuffed pretty bad cause Nero smells
like banana's.
how about you write CLARITY or NERO
on masking tape and wrap it around the neck or tape it on the
spray head?
on my Griot's bottles i put down the content on masking tape and
place it on the very top of the spray head. works great. i have not make
one mistake ''since." one time i was accidentally spraying
WindowCleaner instead of PaintPrep. which is really no
biggie, but ... oops!

Another vote for Invisible Glass. I've used many glass cleaners in my day, and this has been by far the very best. The crumpled newspaper trick works extremely well, too, I was quite surprised...
interior cleaner, window cleaner, paint prep, plain water, vodka all look the same.
Kenchan,
you are correct about the bananna smell, but it only smells to me after you spray it. And I don't sniff the spray nozzle each time before I use it. I just picked up the blue bottle and started spraying my window.... instant banannas, but by the time I smelled it, it was too late. Now I have orange tape all over the Nero bottle....
Wonder what stupid thing I will do next time???
PS, anyone have a wiring diagram for an 06 MCS willing to look something up for me???? If so, please send me a PM.
