i just bought some new wax for my mini. it is made by turtle wax and is premium or something like that. the only thing is that it is hard and even has a crack accross it. is this normal? my other wax is more putty like. they are not the same kind but they dont look anything alike.

by the way, these are the only two containers of wax ive ever seen so im limited on my comparisons.

 

Does the container look like the one on the right?


If so then if should be putty, any canuba wax I know of is liquid or putty, then it "dries" to a haze and is buffed out by hand with a microfiber. Sounds like packaging is outdated or openedup and dried out pre-maturely but I'm not certain. FYI had an outdated opened tup of wax it it bcame a flaky powder after 5-7 years (tucked in the bootom of a parts box of a previous car)

 

no thats actually the other one that i have this one is amde by turtle wax but is called turtle wax platinum series. it says ultra gloss paste wax, but to me this is not a paste.

 

Sounds dried out. I would take it back.
