I don't know if we're going to be able to do this this way, but I'm thinking it might be smart to have a thread for us new-to-the-PCers that we can maybe sticky in a few days once we get the gaps filled in.
So I have the DP PC package. It had 4 pads - white, yellow, orange, and black. I don't actually have them in my hands (the whole thing is out in the garage in the case) but it seems to me that the yellow and black pads were more coarse and the white and orange were softer/less coarse.
Can we get a primer (and I know it's not that easy, and that there are dozens of possible combinations depending on what you are trying to do, but I'm just talking basics here) on which pads by which manufacturers go with which products?
So if I have those 4 pads, and use all Prima stuff, what should I be using with what for which results? Or if someone else is using Griot's pads and...I don't know, Meguiar's...or whatever...you get my drift.
My question for MY benefit is specifically about the DP pads and Prima...but jump in with whatever you got and maybe we can get it organized.

There really is no conversion between systems. DP/Sonus use Lake Country pads. This system is different from the Meguiar's system.
As I've said before with Meguiar's, you have essentially one pad and many different chemicals. To get the best results you choose which chemical is right for the job--i.e. which aggressiveness.
With DP, you have several levels of aggressiveness at the pad level and chemical level.
