need opinions and advice
For Xmas my brother got me a bunch of Meguiars stuff including Wax and this Meguiars Quick Detail spray http://www.nyxracing.com/meguiars-qu...er-p-7161.html
has anyone used this spray before and if so what do they think? Also will it leave white marks on my black outside trim?
I was going to order a bunch of stuff from Prima (which I still am) but am wondering if I can use this stuff for awhile and aviod buying a bottle of Slick.
thanks for any help.

i used the Meguiars Quik Detail spray before buying my Prima products. It works fine. I used it for claying and also for some quick touchups. It is okay if it gets on the black trim... it usually drips down that way if you are spritzing a side panel, but it is good to wipe off as soon as you can. When I first started using it, it looked like the drip marks were going to stain the black trim, but it doesn't and if you go over them later with some Prima Nero, they will look good as new.
I haven't used either long enough to know that much about them (OctaneGuy has used both, I think and knows a lot more about them), but it does seem to me that Slick is just a bit more.... well, slick, but I can't say for sure. What I can say is that I like Prima products in general, even the package design and spray heads, so I'm going to continue using them over the Meguiar's. The only drawbacks to Prima are that they are slightly more expensive and that you have to order online and wait for them to ship (not a big deal because their customer service is good)... unless of course you live in Colorado (edit: you don't).
I did use Meguiar's NXT wax before using Epic and I like the way Epic applies better. Goes on easy, and if you wait the proper time, comes off easy. Also you don't have to use very much. It goes a long way. It did get on some of my black trim though (ugh) and I need to fix that, so be careful there.

Very good question to ask. Getting white residue on those plastic parts is a pain in the butt. I've used Meguires QD & there's been no problem with using it on the plastic trim parts.

That's correct. The only type of spray product I would worry about is a Spray Wax. QD is mostly water and some lubricants.
The Maroon bottle Meguiar's Quik Detailer is good product. I use it, as well as the NXT Speed Detailer. I used to use them exclusively on my Indi Blue MC and the white wheels for years. Great products and inexpensive. They are also great as a clay lubricant.
However now that I have a Jet Black MCS, I prefer Prima's Slick. It's more slippery, and makes my Jet Black look richer than any of the QD's I've used from Meguiar's--that includes Quik Detailer, NXT Speed Detailer, Final Inspection, and Last Touch from their professional line. But since Slick costs more, I use the lesser expensive QD's from Meguiar's for general purpose claying, and use Slick for maintaining my paint--wiping off dust, etc..
And finally, as I stated above, no need to worry about getting QD on your trim. In fact, I sprayed QD on my arches today to get rid of some mud splatter from the road.

I use it, too alongside Slick. The Slick IS "slipperier than the Meguiar's and it seems to make my Hot Orange paint shine a bit better, but it's definitely not a bad product.
