What products to use to clean?

So, I was thinking of cleaning the inside of my car soon, and was wondering what stuff to use for the dash, doors and seats (leatherette)?

Any suggestions?

Ditto. The Griot's "Interior Cleaner" and "Rubber/Vinyl Dressing" are two of their chemicals that I buy by the gallon - that's how impressed I've been with them.

Wow, your a big spender I can not afford the gallon of Rubber?Vinyl Dressing. Then again, it took me 4 years to go though 16 oz.

I third their quality...Just ordered a ton of stuff a few days ago!

Einszett makes great interior products. Much cheaper than Griot's. Of course most products are less expensive than Griot's.

My last Griot's order was kind of insane (~$800), but that did include the wheeled cart, so it wasn't *all* chemicals and towels.

Ever since I started using the contoured dressing applicator for the tires, I'm using a LOT less of the dressing than I used to. My one-gallon bottle probably just turned into a lifetime supply!

Holy CRAP! Haha. I also got the cart in my last order, I have been lusting after it for a while. Even with 15% off I spent 300, and that didnt include the RO I already have. I think we need a Griots support network. Wheres Ken?

I would recommend Vinylex for the seats, and its fine for the dash, door panels, etc too. 303 is also a great product.

This detailing forum is the place to find the answers for the products and methods to detail (and plenty of differing opinions and discussion as well!)

I keep a list of my favorite products here:

Nobody has mentioned 303 aerospace cleaner yet! Wow.

It's fairly inexpensive, you can buy it at boating stores and you can dillute it 1/4 with water and still have a great general-purpose cleaner.
