Removing stripes

Hi,

I've got a set of stripes on from Cooperflags. The guy makes great products, but mine have gotten nicked up from road debris and stuff. I want to take them off and run the car "naked" for a few months. I plan to drive the car for an hour and then peel them off carefully. What's the best and easiest to obtain product to remove any remaining adhesive residue?

Thanks,

Joe Gonzalez

Yup, careful pealing of warm stripes. Rubbing alcohol should work just fine for any goop left over. Just know that it will also strip off any wax you have on the car.

WD40 works very well as well, and contains nothing that will damage the finish through a short exposure. I'd definitely clean and wax the bonnet afterwards, to remove any traces of the glue remover and to even out the wax finish.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate the advice. I think I've got some rubbing alcohol under my bathroom sink. That should do the trick.

watever you do, don't use paper towels to rub that alcohol.
