theres stuff Called Dracket and another I have in the house ill get the name tomorrow. it foams, its old version of windex that was slightly outlawed for consumer use. it never streaks. its really really really really good stuff. just bad for other things and people. ammonia based. nothing cleans better.
I have been making my own window cleaner for several years. I buy isopropyl alcohol from the grocery (~99%, maybe $1 a bottle) and mix it 50/50 with distilled water. Works for me...no streaking...inexpensive.

Most stores have the 70% and the 99% available. Just look at the label. You can use the 70%, just don't add as much water to it.

I take the 70% isopropyl alcohol and mix it 50/50 with distilled water to use as a paint cleaner when I'm removing swirl marks. Some of the swirl removers / polishes (like Zaino Z-PC) will also fill the scratches somewhat. To make sure the swirl marks are actually being polished out and not just filled in, I'll periodically wipe down the panel with the 50/50 mixture (which is actually 35% alcohol by volume), and it removes any fillers from the paint, allowing you to see what the paint *really* looks like.
As for the Griot's glass cleaner, I always thought it smelled like the active ingredient was vinegar. I've seen that used in other glass cleaners when they want to make it tint-safe, since they can't use ammonia on window tint.
