What to do with small swirly scratches in paint?
So I recently have been paying a lot of attention to the rear of my MINI. I saw that the rear washer fluid nozzle is leaking a lot. Also, when i hit the rear washers while going at high speeds the fluid splatters down the whole boot. So usually I use a little bit of windex to wipe the windows and then clean up the dried dribbles on the paint with it, but turning to a clean side of the paper towels. I didn't have quick detailer spray so I just used Mother's Spray Soap California Gold (something along those lines) and then wash away the dirt with some paper towels (gently) and poured water over the area to clean off the suds that were created. Then I used a microfiber towel to dry ... afterward, I noticed in the reflection of the light small circular scratch marks appearing in the area i just cleaned. I then realized i used the same microfiber towel I used the other day with scratch x. I don't know if that was the reason .. what did I do wrong?? Will using scratch x remove these slight circular scratches ?

Lots of mistakes here:
1.) First off, paper towels should NOT be used on your paint.
2.) Second Windex should NOT be used on your paint, it's a glass cleaner possibly containing Ammonia, the chemicals are too harsh for any wax on your paint.
3.) A contaminated MF towel???? ScratchX contains diminishing abrasives. And if you already used it, it also has bits of clear coat and whatever else was on your paint prior to using ScratchX on that same MF, and now you just used it to rub your paint???
re: removing swirls
ScratchX will likely remove those swirls, otherwise a PC will do it faster and easier, but if you don't have one, then yep, that's about all you can do.
