adding stripes - before or after zaino?

Thinking about some custom bonnet stripes for my 06 RG/RG.

I have not zainoed it yet, and I would like to know weather I should do that first or put the stripes down first.

Common sense says stripes, then zaino, but, i am no expert with this space aged polymer....

thanks!

Stripes first. You want the stripes to adhere to the paint not the wax.

From: Citrus Heights, Ca.
When Just Tint installed my stripes, they had to remove the wax on the bonnet before stripe application. They used alcohol, I believe (To remove the wax, not to drink while installing the stripes!).

Somewhere in this section (do a search) you'll see Dawn dishwashing soap as being suggested as the liquid of choice to remove wax. Alcohol is a good drying agent and dirt remover - don't know if it strips off wax residue.
