Scratch on week old S...
I detailed my car today and notices a inverted V shaped scratch on the front passenger quarter panel. I am pretty pissed but I want to find out how it happened.
I am wondering if it was there the day I picked the car up?! No real way to tell I suppose.
It starts above the wheel arch and goes down into the wheel arch in a v, so the damage starts on paint and also scratched the black platic on the wheel arch.
I will try and post some pics later.
What a crappy way to start the day!

Chances are probably 50/50 that it was there when you picked it up. I'd go ahead and contact the dealer and let them know you just did your first detail and found a scratch that you'd like them to take care of. They probably will do it. Things can and do get scratched in shipping. No way to be 100% sure this happened before you picked your MCS up, but it's worth a shot.
Good luck!
Just wait for that first chip!

It it's a light clear coat scratch, they are going to take a rotary buffer to it, and buff it out. Depending on how good they are, the scratch will be gone, but may instead be replaced with machine swirls, that you won't know about until you thoroughly wash your car eject whatever wax/fillers they applied over the area to "fix" it. Good luck! Scratches happen, and will happen over the life of your car.
