how to clean window posts?

The last shop did a complimentary cleaning on the inside. They must have used newspaper to clean the wndows. looks as though there's ink on the white plastic window post covers. I can't seem to get them clean with mild soaps. Any suggestions? I'm trying to avoid solvents.

thanks,

BAT

Try Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. DO NOT use it on anything glossy or painted though, as it seems to be slightly abrasive.

Thanks,

The post covers have a matte white surface. I'll check it out.

What's a clay bar?

I've been cleaning stuff for many years now, and never heard of it.

Is it a product or a material?

Thanks,

BAT

I'll second the Mr. Clean Magic eraser for stubborn stains on the inside. Try it with some 303 aerospace cleaner (Diluted 1/5 first)

BAT: Claybar is a car body shop product that is basically a lump of playdough. For bodyshops, they use it to remove overspray and smooth out small rough areas. For us, it is used to remove surface contaminants from paintwork before waxing/sealing.

See the sticky at the top of the detailing forum called "My detailed detailing process" for more info.
