I use Klasse to get my stripes clean, if the shampoo doesn't do the job.

You can also GENTLY claybar the stripe. Remember: "There's always time for lubrication."

I believe that Klasse has some solvents in it (other than water) which should help remove the stain. The same could be done with a paintwork cleanser (some solvents... very low abrasive). A cleaner wax (more solvents and more abrasive) could be next, followed by a swirl-mark remover (even more abrasive), but you may be getting too abrasive for a vinyl stripe at this point.

Don't use Wax!

I used Meguire's Gold class paste carnauba wax on my stripes, and it seemed to remove some sheen to them--like part of the top layer was removed.

I have an appointment near the end of July with my MINI dealership, and I'm going to see if they'll put on a new set, because if you ordered your MINI with the stripes, they're under warranty. Hopefully they'll comply...

But for future reference, I strongly caution against using wax on your stripes. Maybe test a small spot first, before doing both stripes.

Wax was recommended by my dealer

303 aerospace protectant seems to be good for stripes. You just don't want them to dry out.
