How do I Remove Wax Residue from the windshield seal?
Hey all!
Just go done waxing my car (though that will be taken off next week when the Zaino arrives!
), though I'm having one problem, I got wax ohn the top windshield seal (the rubber strip between the windshield and the roof) and I have peanut buttered it twice and the wax is still not coming off! Any methods to do this?
Help! The MINI looks good but this looks like crap!

Try Vinylex from Lexol (www.lexol.com)
It is available at most auto parts retail stores. The water based exterior/interior plastic and vinyl cleaner/restorer is one of the very best in the market. This stuff has never failed me!
Vinylex quickly and effectively removes wax residue from ALL your exterior plastic rubber trim, deep cleaning the plastic textured surface and underlying plasticizers. Then it restores the plastic/rubber, leaving a black, rich factory matte, non-greasy finish. It also provides excellent UV resistance against cracking and peeling plus it offers reasonable water resistance.
Both of my MINIs have been maintained with Vinylex and the black plastic arches and exterior trim look factory fresh. Wax is not an issue for this product, try it!

There is an alcohol approach to try when the peanut butter doesnt work, but give the peanut butter (or even better, peanut oil) a good while to sit on the problem spot and scrub gently with a soft bristled toothbrush (on the rubber only).
