Does it matter to changes waxes each time?

I have several different types of waxes that many of you have recommended on the boards. Does it matter if I don't use the same wax each time? Some are quicker than others. I find myself waxing my car weekly, too. Is this too often?

My water is VERY hard and I feel that a wax helps deepen the color and I am afraid my red will fade sooner if I don't protect it. Maybe I just don't have enough to do....

not enough to do

Maybe just maybe you don't have enough to do seriously though
using lots of different waxs may not be a good thing to do sense all waxs are mixed differently, try and pick a wax you like and stick with it and spend
more time driving your car than waxing it.hopes this helps a little bit

You should find one wax brand you like and stick to it. It's a personal preference. Within that brand, there will invariably be a number of products that you can use to enhance your red color, but you really shouldn't be mixing different brands.

As for waxing weekly, I suppose it again depends on what product you are using, but my personal preference is using Meguiar's products like NXT Tech Wax, which only needs to be used once every 3 to 4 months, although it could be used monthly if you want.

It depends on how much you touch the paint--do you Quik Detail everyday? Is this a daily driver? If so, your wax protection will break down faster. But instead of waxing it again, you often can get away with a wax booster which is much faster and easier to apply, and you can do this a few times, until you decide to wax the whole car again.

I normally use a PC (machine tool--DA) to apply my NXT which has the benefit of removing swirls and scratches, then I Quik Detail daily getting rid of the dust--my car is garaged. As soon as I feel drag across my paint, when I'm dusting, I will use some NXT Spray Wax--spray it on a microfiber towel, then wipe the car down--instead of spraying it directly on the paint and getting it all over the place.
