Caliper cleaning

After a few years of driving my calipers are black. I've tried to clean them but getting behind S-Lites are a pain. Now I've got Team-Dynamic pro race 1's that show off the disc and the caliper. It's not that the calipers are unsightly, it's just I'd like to see them metallic again. Does anyone know how to get some shine back? or at least get the black off?

Will some thing like Brake Cleen work?

Yep. Brake cleaner and an old toothbrush to scrub them down. Take your time and they should clean up nicely.

Every 5000 miles when I rotate my tires, I clean my S-Lites inside and out along with everything else in the wheel well. They never look better than when they are totally clean all around.

I have used Simple green on the calipers and it looks pretty good if you let it soak a little and use a plastic brush (the kind you would never use on your actual wheels). I might try the break cleaner next time as well.
