303 Aerospace Protectant

Just picked up some 303 on the many recommendations given on this site. Wow, what a great product. I cleaned basically everything inside from dash to leatherette seats...can this stuff be used on the exterior trim or tires? Quick poll - Where does everyone use this stuff?

Thx.

In my driveway

I use 303 on everything black that's not painted - the rubber around the windows/antenna/side mirrors, the wheel arches and the rubber on my wheels.

The 303 wears off fairly quickly on the exterior (IMHO). BradB Recommends Meguiars #40 Rubber Protectant for the exterior bits on the MINI (Arches, tires, etc).

I switch back and forth between that and Mothers Protectant which I also like. A nice "black" look and medium sheen. More so than the 303 and just what I like for exterior bits!

I have some of this but I was under the impression you use it after you clean like a sealant almost. As far as I can tell it doesn't actually clean.

It can be used on the exterior, sure. But it's just not super durable.

I use it on the interior because it has a factory-like satin shine.

No, it doesn't clean.

I've been using it since I got my MINI last July, and it does clean to some degree. Maybe that's just to the degree that rubbing any liquid on the exterior plastic will clean them, but it seems to help.

I clay-barred my car last weekend, and the lubricant dripped down onto the plastic trim in a few places, leaving unsightly drip marks. After I was finished waxing the car, I went back over the trim with 303 and it took care of them.
