Very small nicks
Very small nicks
I have a few very small nicks on the front of my car. I'm wanting to have an xshield installed and before that happens I would like to take care of these mars.
What might be the best way to take care of them? They are very small, maybe the size of the head of a pin.
Thanks,

You should definately fill in those chips before applying the clear-bra.
I use a fiberglass pen to clean out the chips and then layer in several coats of touch-up paint until it is a slightly raised bump of paint. I then use wet sanding and the 'magic liquid' in this kit (http://www.performanceproducts.com/P...producttype=10) to bring it down to original paint level and buff it out.
I've also heard great things about a product called 'Langka' that is used (without the wet-sanding) to bring the touch-up paint blob down to the correct level. The wet-sanding can get a bit dicy, so I'll probably switch, but the fiberglass pen is excellent at getting stray bits of rust and wax out of neglected chips.
