Scratch on the bonnet stripe

Has anyone ever tried to hide a scratch on the bonnet stripe? Either someone keyed my MINI or the neighbor's cat tried to climb on the bonnet (I can't figure out which). I'm pretty sure I can remove the relatively minor scratches on the paint, but I'm not so sure about the black stripe.

I'd like to avoid having to remove the stripes since I ill-advisedly had them installed before the clear bra, so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I've heard that most people who install vinyl can do a repair for you. They cut out a small section and replace with fresh material. Since your stripes are recently installed (an assumption), they should be able to provide a decent match.

How bad is the scratch? Maybe just live with it for awhile until it starts gettting really bad and get new ones all together installed yourself. I've had my MINI for about 7 Months now and theres many parts of the stripes that have been hit by small rocks or whatever but I'll live with them until I get new stripes which isn't anytime soon.

The above response is good but I don't know how much they would charge you, if any, but if its cheap then go for it.

Don't forget, he said he installed his stripes before the clear bra, which means that in order to remove his stripe, he will have to have the clear bra reinstalled which will be costly to fix a $75 stripe!

It's not a perfect fix, but I've heard of some people filling in the scratch with a black Sharpie.

Ahh I missed the clear bra part =/. In that case ditto with trying to add new vinyl to the scratched area.
