Griots Garage Engine Bay Dressing

Does anyone here have experience with Griots Garage Engine Bay Dressing? Comments? Competing products that you prefer?

I haven't detailed an engine before so I'd also like to hear about any brushes/tools that are particularly useful. Thanks.

I've got a can of it and use it occasionally. I does a nice job. As far as brushes and such, just check the various 'accessory' windows on the web site. They have several types for different jobs. I keep the black boar's hair brush in the glove box for dusting around the dash board and air vents and the longer handled ones are great around the engine bay and other hard places to reach. Visit the web site, it also includes how to videos. Griot's has been my go to outfit for 11 or 12 years, they know their stuff.

My trick engine bay cleaner is Fast Orange Smooth hand cleaner (DO NOT use the Pumice!) Put a dollop in your palm, then take a Bounty paper towel and let it soak up the hand cleaner. Use the towel to wipe off grime. Repeat as necessary. If your engine bay is sufficiently dirty that you need to apply a cleaner and then hose it off, be sure to cover electronics like the coil pack, electrical connectors, etc. Use something like heavy duty aluminum foil that you can form around the object you're shielding.
