Griot's garage vinyl & rubber dressing

This is my first car that has black trims on the outside, and while I know that a lot of you guys recommend 303 protectant, is the Griot's garage stuff any good?

Only reason why I ask is because I have a bottle of it right here, that came with the big detailing package that I purchased a year ago or so.

Safe to use on the exterior trims as well as the interior door panels and dash?

I have both products. I've used Griot's on the interior and exterior with good results. You can feel it on the interior pieces until it dries up, but that's typical of these products I think. As I recall it leaves a bit more shine that 303 does. Both seem to protect well, but neither lasts as long as I'd like- probably nothing would! I have found that using something spongy (like a little square of foam carpet padding) works great on the exterior and is free- not like the $$ for Griot's fancy ones.

Sweet, I was looking for some info like that. I guess I'll use up the GG stuff and then invest in some 303 afterwards.

ive used a handful of products on the exterior trim, and nothing will keep it shining for long... so far.. ive used autoglym bumper protector, its a gel that is a bit harder to work with, but does leave it nice and shiny.... and holds pretty well..the fronts are better than the back.. . im not a huge fan of the shine though

maguire's #40 Plastic and vinyl cleaner works okay, but dont last very long, again, shines more than i like.. i leave this for the interior

Wheelwax trim shine and tire shine works well, im using it now.. .wipe it and it gives a good matte finish.. but lasts about as long as the maguires

armor all wipes are useless...
