Touching up black bonnet stripe tips?

I have black bonnet stripes which have seen better days. A few rock chips but the bigger thing that bothers me is this patch of fading/cracking, pictured in link. Any tips for how to make them less visible? It's not really noticeable until you get within like 5ft, but still if theres a easy fix I'd give it a try. Even thought about getting a black sharpie

Those factory stripes are printed over the base vinyl which is the color of the pinstripes. In the pic, it looks like the black was rubbed through overtime and the white is starting to show. You can try to touch up the black, but it probably wouldn't look very good. A sharpie would work on small areas like rock chips, but they tend to be more of a purple/black so large areas will look really bad. You can replace the stripes with the same style pinstriped edge version, non pinstriped ones, or remove the stripes. If you remove the stripes, you might have ghosting due to paint fade and exposure to the elements.

Replacing the stripes is very easy, just takes care and patience.
Use a hair dryer to remove them by pulling straight back once they get softened. I've replaced twice and added boot stripes, no problems.
There's a great how to at the below URL on boot stripes. Use the same procedure on the bonnet and you're good to go.

A little known fact, you can click on 'UserCP', select 'Edit Options' then scroll down to 'Thread Display Mode' and select either Oldest or Newest First. I can always tell when someone has theirs set on Oldest when they refer to a previous post using these ^^^ as pointers. I've got mine set to Newest First so they're pointing at the menu bar.

actually if you check the URL you hung, it is specifically calling up page 5 of the 5 page thread ... change the 5 at the end of the URL to 1 and we'd get page 1
