Sooty Exhaust Tip

Diggin up an older one here. Anyone figure out what the best product is to use on the Magnaflow to bring back the original color? I wash my pipes regularly (some more so than others) but still have some soot caked on (exhaust tips) as well as a color that is different from when the system was new.

I use a quick swipe of NeverDull once a week or more just to keep the soot off and Wenol or SemiChrome on a monthly basis to keep the chrome clear and bright.

Actually since that post I had changed from the Quicksilver exhaust to the Miltek exahaust. The Miltek doesn't have the polished finish and only gets sooty on the inner back tip so I just wipe it off with a moist rag and all is good for another trip.
Sooty tips are ugly. I clean both my wheels and exhaust tips at the same time usually. I used to wipe down my mufflers too but in my old age I've gotten feeble and don't really bother.
