but do I wax my MINI's bumpers since they're not metal? Will the wax shine up the bumpers, too?

As long as its painted, it's the same as metal. Careful if you run a buffer on them though, they melt. Don't ask me how I know. lol


Just DON'T get wax on the black trim, it never permanantly comes off. Don't ask me how I know, lol.

 

Definitely! And the wax will also help repel some of that boot grime in the rear and bug splatters in the front. :smile:

 

well they may not be metal but they do have paint on them I would think, so wax away,

That is not a dumb question... its already been answered.

So now lets have a little poll... What type of wax is the best in terms of protection and shine etc....

 

The bumpers have the same finish on them as the rest of the car. The underlying material is plastic.

 

I like P21S for shine and ease of application. Durability OK. Best for garage kept cars. One Grand Blitz has almost the same shine but has more durability and is less money. My Mini and Audi have a significantly better shine with P21S than when I used Mequiars. It doesn't leave any residue on black plastic.
