Piano Black Accent Cleaning

I no longer have a MINI, but my new Buick Regal has Piano Black accents in the interior like some of the MINIs do. I'm wondering if anybody can tell me the best way to clean them without scratching them up. Thanks in advance.

For starters, use only clean, quality microfiber cleaning cloths. I also use Adam's detail spray on them. This is the one thing I would change if I order another MINI. I would stay away from the piano black trim. Even if you're able to clean it without swirls and scratches, it shows every fingerprint and speck of dust.

I have used Meguiare's detailing wipes on mine with good results.

Thanks!! It's very good looking, but you are right, every finger print shows up!!!

Thanks!! I'll try these too. I used to keep them in my old MINI.

Prima Slick, or even just Prima Clarity, works well. Microfiber. Mine looks almost new at 4 years, though it has an easy life. I use Slick for the rougher plastics and rubber.

I waxed my interior paint. I have the anthracite package which means my trim is basically painted dark grey metallic. I removed the swirls and waxed it and now i just wipe with Hydro or banana gloss.

I'm glad you brought up this topic! I ordered my Coupe with the stamped alloy (can't remember the exact name) but my order got messed up and I ended up receiving the Piano black dash and door material instead. Not a problem as It looks absolutely great.....when clean. I was starting to think the only way I could make it stay looking good was to cover it up with some 3M DI-NOC carbon fiber

I know you only have a Buick but my Caddy came with a small cloth like you would get in an eyeglass cleaning kit. There is black high gloss plastic on the console and it scratches easily.

I bet that'd help keep the dust to a minimum as well.

I can't really comeback on that one since you have the all-mighty CTS-V.
I have some of those little cloths. I'll give them a shot!!!

Don't knock it till you try it...lol The stuff works really well. As does, HONDA SPRAY POLISH. (It's so good, it's sold at motorcycle dealers that don't even sell Honda motorcycles.)

Oh, I'm not knocking it. I'm merely saying that it would probably help keep dust down as well. My Piano Black seems to attract dust.
