Installing hood emblem

Hoping this is the right place to post. I lost the front hood emblem on the 2004 Cooper S mini I have. I purchased a new one but cannot seem to find any thing in regards to how to install it.

There is adhesive on the back but there is also 2 posts on the emblem. What I cannot tell is if there are supposed to be plastic grommets that sit in the hood that accept the posts or whether or not its the adhesive that does the job.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Mike

Instructions:

Clean area around the 2 holes. (Alcohol)
Pull off tape on back of emblem.
Line up with holes and push.

Thats it...the holes are just to help you center the emblem with the post on the emblem.

I used Christmas present ribbon to run behind the emblem to cut some of the adhesive. Then I used a plastic spatula to pry it up.

I've used dental floss to remove them, too. Usually takes a few attempts as the floss frays then splits after about 5 or 6 sawing motions. The ribbon do that also ?

You must have very strong nails or emblems that were attached 2 minutes before shift end on a Friday.
