Ugly expansion tank

Has anyone painted the expansion tank? How did it work?. Mine is ugly and I was wondering what to use or if I should paint it.
I like the forge polished one but I don't have anything else polished under there and that could get costly.

I am also interested to know if someone found paint that will stick to the tank.

The plastic they use in the expansion tank is polyethylene, good luck finding any paint that will sick to it.

You can find expansion tanks of all sizes, shapes and price ranges by looking at the performance car part sites.
Jegs, and other companies like them have all sorts of stuff.

Painted mine years ago and it still looks just like it did when I painted it. Have had no problems with paint adhesion.

If I recall, I cleaned it very well first, then used an adhesion promoter, then high temp black paint. No problems since.
