I just removed my white bonnet stripes and my mini is naked now. I washed it with Meguiar Gold Class wash and conditioner, rinse with cloth and then dried.
Is this about it?
I am going to do some car detailing next week.
1/ Gold Class Wash and conditioner
2/ Dry car with Meguiar water magnet drying towel
3/ Use clay bar, ultimate detailer ( spray bit on area, use clay bar in circular motion, wipe with Meguialr shine Microfiber towel)
4./ Ultimate compound
5. Ultimate liquid wax
Is the above correct? When do I use the even coat applicator pads?
Will one clay bar be needed for the entire mini cooper S?

Read up on things.
1. NEVER clay in a circle! Straight lines ONLY!
2. Break the clay in half, keep needing it as you work the panels. It should last (one half) for many clayings. Clay is done when you can feel a lot of grit in it, or it starts to fall apart (not all clay does). Bad clay can cause more damage then good.
3. Do you have a real "compound" or is it a polish?
4. What are you using to apply & remove the polish/compound?
5. You use the app pads for wax, use less then you think, lighter coats are way better then one thick coat.
6. What are you using to remove the wax?

Not OEM vinyl stripes but from cooper flag which someone installed for me.
I used the hot setting on the hair dryer, blew on the top part of the vinyl for about 20seconds, pulled from the corner down to about 1/4 way , then used hair dryer again, peeled another 1/4 way, repeated process till I was finished.
No residue except for the bit of built up wax on the edges where vinyl stripes used to be. NO sticky stuff beneath the stripes and they came off very easily
