Nano-Diamond Shield

Has anyone ever tried it?

Supposedly, one application lasts a whole year. I don't really care about that, though. It's supposedly very easy to apply. How does it protect compared to wax or paint sealant? How's the finish?

I tried this stuff a few months ago, it in NO way lasts an entire year, it seemed to be pretty much the same as rainx. I have not put on a second application yet as i have just not had the time. With another Storm coming tonight I may put it on again, but as I said it seemed to me just like rainX

It's funny, I worked with a company that developed a nano product called Nanoskin USA and their main product was called Diamond Shield. Then recently I saw this Nano Diamond Shield...I don't know if it's the same product or not. Back during development, the product I had claimed it protected the car from scratches, and beaded up for up to a year when properly applied and prepped. It was a spray on product. Originally it was a professionally applied product where a spray gun was needed. At that time, the product I helped developed worked pretty well, but eventually they realized selling a product that lasted a long time didn't make much business sense, so they dumbed the product down.....I was so fed up with them, I left.

The product I saw at PepBoys was called "Nano-Diamond Shield" and it is just as you described. By dumbed down, I take it you mean applications no longer lasts for a whole year. But does it still protect? I don't mind applying a spray on product every 6 months. Shoot, I'd spray it on every month

Based on the really bad instructions on their website, it appears to be the same product I helped with. One thing they don't show in the video is wearing an N95 mask...this stuff is SUPER Toxic and should not be breathed. In fact, they were having problems getting approval with the AQMD because of what it did to the environment....
