The simple answer is not really....Meguires NXT 2.0 wax (which i loved until i got onto Auto Glym) did an OK job of not showing up white.

The best way around this is to just tape off the plastics. If you have the wax residue on your Mini plastics the best way to remove is to find a Stanford architect eraser and then use some "Back to Black" or "Black WOW"

Painter's tape is cheap and a lot less demanding than re-scrubbing the molding. 3pedals is spot on. I use Back to Black (and really like it) because it was shoulder high on the parts store shelf. A he!! of a recommendation, what?

Actually my Pre-Wow product means you don't have to tape.

That means no more of this stuff

Pre-Wow on the included brush

Wipe

Perfect

After Pre-Wow you can use any trim product. Black Wow gives the best and longest lasting effect however.

Btw, Prima Epic doesn't leave the trim white unless you really put a lot on and make a big mess. During my testing, I put 10 different waxes on a piece of MINI trim to recreate that white mess, and it's really not easy to do.

Prima's Banana Gloss won't leave any stains, but the trade off is it only last about 2 months. Super easy to apply though.

Banana Gloss left a slight whiteness of my wheel well moldings so I just bought a bottle of Pre-Wow. Octane, I'm thinking I'm going to have to reapply Black Wow after Pre-Wow'ing?

Yep! But just reapply on the affected areas. PW will remove BW and anything else taking it back to bare plastic. This is especially noticeable after PW dries. Make sure to work the PW in good. Use the PW Trim Brush and scrub in circles. I just made a little video that I'll be posting to YouTube in the next few days demonstrating how I use PW.

A painters rag is the perfect applicator and wipe down rag as well after using the brush as it has a bit of bite.

Get a small piece of cardboard, & hold it up to the plastic as you wax, it will keep you from getting wax on the moldings.

About the only waxes I used that don't stain plastic are high end Carnuba's. They also look the "best" but don't last long, & are harder to apply/remove.

Turtle Wax "Ice Wax" will not visibly show up on plastic or rubber surfaces. I know it's not a high end wax by any stretch of the imagination, but it does the job of not leaving the annoying white residue on plastic/rubber trim.

The very long lasting Collinite 845 wax is trim safe. P21s carnauba is also trim safe and gives a fabulous shine, but it is quite short lived. I've used both of these and have been very pleased with the results.
