Washing/Cleaning your MINI on long trip

How do you do this? I had a long trip and the car was very dirty. Getting ready for another long drive and I do not want to use automatic car wash along the route. Would appreciate any suggestions.

As long as you have good polish/wax before starting your trip there is nothing wrong using carwashes along the way, use only the wand never ever use the automatic or drive thru type, when on a road trip I seek out a convenient hand held wash bay usually at the end of each days travels.

A 2 gallon wash bucket, some ONR, a grout sponge and some clean waffle weave microfiber towels...all can fit in the bucket take up minimal room and could do it. Increase the safety and pack a 1/2 gallon bug sprayer to presoak the paint before doing the ONR wash.

Or just use a brushless wash, lol. Like the other reply said...start with a good coat of wax for protection and avoid any car washes with brushes.
