Repair damage to Yakima Skybox cargo carrier?

I just bought a Yakima cargo box last month and my wife introduced it to the ceiling of the local mall parking garage last night. No serious damage it appears, but long ugly scrapes on the two ridges on top of the box from nose to tail. It's black ABS plastic and the damage is only cosmetic, but I'd like to conceal it as much as possible. Any suggestions on some sort of paint/dye/whatever to change the white scraped plastic back to black?

Any help appreciated.

(I should have had her drive the MINI to the Eclipse premier last night and not the Honda Pilot and this wouldn't have happened. )

You could sand it smooth and use regular platic spray paint with primer in it I suppose. Could also use the famous plasti-dip

I'd contact either a quality bumper repair guy or a body shop. It's likely the cost of the repair would be very minimal. A detailer or paint polisher might be able to improve it as well. If you sand it yourself, it's possible it could be polished back to gloss without repainting it using a PC. Still I'd hire a Pro to make sure it doesn't get worse. Worse come worse, since it's just a cargo box, put some touchup paint or use a Sharpie and it will look fine from 10' away, lol.
