Smoothing out interior paneling scratches
My Lounge leather interior has been scratched and grooved by feet, around the doors. I don' know if the door paneling is different on the leather interiors, but the scratches are quite distressing to me. In some light angles, they are quite noticeable. Is there any way to smooth these ruffled feathers?

I would also appreciate any tips on fixing this. The back of my seats are especially rough from carrying things in the back with the seats down.
I have thought about attempting to create a heated surface with a similar texture to the leather-like pattern on the hard plastic. It might be possible to gently heat the plastic while applying some pressure in a rolling motion to strategically melt the flaws out...
Crazy?

Basically polymers fall into 2 major classes: thermosetting or thermoplastic. Thermoplastic varieties can be remelted and remolded. Thermosetting ones cannot. I would bet that they use thermosetting materials.
