Product recommendations for R53 in Royal Gray please!
My own experience has been on brighter colors on my M3's using Klasse AIO, Klasse SG, and Blitz 1 grand, all by hand.
I'm not as up to speed on the latest products as I used to be, haven't bought any in a while, and would ilke recommendations for this metallic gray colored r53 I just picked up.
Exterior is in excellent condition as the older gentleman that I bought it from kept it in the garage at work and home and detailed it regularly. Paint is smooth to the touch, no real contamination/oxidation or swirls in the clear. I noticed when doing my first wash there appears to be a little marring on the sides but other than that its excellent.
Was thinking about buying the werkstat like of stuff as I had wanted to buy their kit but want to get recommendations based on my car color.
Thanks!

I have 2 places I've been ordering my Detailing Products from...Griot's Garage for my Bits and either Prima Car Care or OctaneGuy...OctaneGuy is both a Member and a Vendor here on NAM, Prima Car Care (FNA Detailer's Paradise) used to be more active on NAM, not so much anymore. Griot's Garage isn't a Vendor on NAM but their Products are Guaranteed for Life...can't go wrong there.

If you already have a favorite set of products, you might as well try it on your paint to see how it looks.
If you aren't going to be machine polishing, then you will want to be utilizing products that will conceal minor surface defects. Products that can do this in the Prima line include: Hydro, Amigo, and Banana Gloss. However Amigo isn't really a wax as much as it's a glaze, so for purely protection choices.Hydro or BG would fit the bill.
With metallic paints, the detailing objective is to make the metallic flakes pop as much as possible. We do this by ensuring the clear coat is as optically clear as possible. This is more easily done by machine than by hand.
