Winter cleansing!
Winter cleansing!
Everybody know's the MINI is susceptible to getting a dirty bottom, but today I just couldn't stand it anymore! Although I think automatic brush car washes are the devil, when it's below freezing sometimes you don't have a choice! Just a few low-quality cellphone pics:

I was in the same predicament the other day love. Couldn't stand it anymore. Used the handheld wash to at least rinse some of the scrunge off the MINI. By the time I got home, it was pretty hard to tell I'd even bothered.
Very short-lived relief...

Those brush car washes may get the car clean, but are likely to cause damage to the paint, swirls, scratches, and the like.
Brushless, or touchless car washes are safer.
Wand wash coin-op places work best IMO. The paint may not look great after using them, but in the winter the goal is to get as much of the salt crap off, not so much get the car show ready. Unless I can really get the paint clean, I don't even dry the car, as any grit still on the paint is just going to cause damage to the paint.
Trust me, I know we want to keep our MINI's looking good, but having a clean car is not that important if getting it clean will cause more work later trying to fix the damage.
