Stupid bird!

Parked with one side protected today at work -- next to "island" with only passenger door exposed to car in the next space. Came out to find several "gifts" from a bird on my drivers door. So I go back into work to get some wet paper towels to clean off (better than leaving it there). Clean it, then get in car. Go to back up. Yuck, my left rear view mirror had been attacked too!

Back into work, more clean-up supplies. Luckily what looked like scratches on the mirror was just bird spit (that's what my wife said it was).

Got home, used some quick detail and glass cleaner to do a more thorough clean-up.

All I can say is I dislike birds...

After I detailed my practice car (Honda Civic), the birds had their way with her (or had a bad case of IBS). Sad. Poop (of all kinds) happens...beats a ding!

like i mentioned before many times, non-edible birds need to be
removed from the planet.

I wasn't under a tree! Next to a fan palm, guess the bird saw another bird in the side rear view mirror.

And yes, it was a horror. Like Hitchcock's "The Birds" ...

I have a question to add: how durable is the paint on a Clubman? I've kept hearing from other detailing pros that car paint quality of today cannot be compared with paint on, for example, a 1999 car. Has anyone had damage on a MINI caused by bird bombs? (And yes, I too sometimes wish I had a shotgun... Once parked as far from a tree as I could and still, you would have thought every bird in town had bombed my car! I nearly collapsed with relief after washing it and finding no damage to the paint.)
