Hydro is freaking me out
Hydro is freaking me out
So I wash my car, and then spray hydro all over it to dry it.
While I'm drying I'm thinking -- this looks like crap. These NAM people are full of it when it comes to this stuff. Sheesh... did I do something wrong?
Then suddenly the car starts really drying, and bammo... like some sort of magical spell all the streaking on the windows disappears and it suddenly looks like I have worked for an hour putting wax all over my car.
Uhh... wow? I can't believe that stuff works so well!

Yep... it's THAT good.
If you want to see an every deeper shine... use Hydro after each weekly wash (you do wash weekly, RIGHT??!!??). And then in the middle of the week when you need to do a QD, use Griot's Speed Shine. Has some Carnuba wax in it and makes the Chili Red paint look so deep, you'll want to dive into it like it's a pool. But don't. Take my word for it.

Yep, Kurt/Krut
, it's really good.
It hides the micro-swirls and makes your paint look very smooth. Also provides some added protection to your wax as it does contain a small amout of synthetic wax. In fact, some use it as their primary source of wax.
Easy to use, too. Just spray it onto your wet car after washing, dry it off. Won't stain your black trim, either.

Keep using it. Now that I've incorporated it into my weekly wash, I have seen less dust/dirt build up. And I have a dirt driveway.

AND.....it's great in coffee. Or server it chilled after dinner with a light desert. The orange color always promotes conversation.
Just kidding. Yes it's good, really good. I enjoy finding good products that do what they say they do. It's economical when purchased in the gallon jug.

Did you have that moment yet when you walk up to the MINI, forgetting you had the roof checkered, and it makes you damn near stop in your tracks ?
For some, yes. I woudln't recommend it though. I'm not sure it would give complete coverage and it only lasts a couple weeks. You'd have to use it religously.
It's best used to bolser your wax and as a Quick Detailer, IMO.

So I Hydro'd my Honda Pilot last night - it was needing some love. Unfortunately I have not gotten around to putting a coat of Epic on it and the car was quite wet when I spritzed on the hydro. When I was wiping the water and hydro off I was wondering if its possible to have too much water on the car?
I did wait a little bit for it to dry some more but then i just rebuffed down each panel with a clean MF and that seems to have done the trick. It did look good this morning when I took my wife to work! Now I just need to work on some spots with ScratchX that I had not really noticed before....
