1st time detailing

Wel, my Mini is my first worthy car of a nice detail so I just washed it wish turtle ICE wash =]

Now im using Mequirs (step 1, 2, 3) detail..paint cleaner, polish, wax

just got done with step one, and eating some lunch.

Im pretty new at detailing, but anyone have any advice on getting little sap drop/circles off?

thanks guys

Yep.

I see one critical step missing in your process. Clay bar. Try that on those spots. Easy to use and not expensive.

And no mention of a Random Orbital buffer. Also critical if you really want to have a beautiful paint finish.

I've used the Meguiar's clay bar and the Clay Magic brand clay bar.

I prefer the Clay Magic. Very nice density and easy to work with.

And don't listen to ken about WD40. That's for door hinges and such, not for your car's paint.

Can't imagine any benefit of multiple layers of Amigo. It's just filling in any microscopic imperfections and leaving you with a near-perfect surface for the wax. No, one coat is plenty and as good as two.

On Epic, yes, there is a cure time. Once you remove it, let it cure for about 24 hours before you add a second coat (if you're so inclined), or before you QD it. Watch how much better Epic looks after one full day.
