wasn't OG moving to a new section in the building or something?
larger place with own garage, own showroom, etc?

maybe he's busy working on that?

or just got tired of detailing and started a new IT business.

Haha many thanks Lotsie...I'm here. Lots of things going on at the shop--was majorly behind on Black Wow orders for my retailers..along the lines of 400 pcs behind, lol--because I ran out of BW. Still in the process of moving my office to a larger space. Also been working on this very troublesome black AMG CLS63 for the past 3 days. Also Ashley (Hammerette) arrived last Friday so I've been training her and making sure she's comfortable--had to make some last minute changes to things but she's been a real trooper.

So far in the week she's been in California--she helped me detail a very expensive Mercedes, oversaw Black Wow manufacturing and filled Black Wow bottles, helped me streamline and improve things around the shop, has been learning the ropes of being an Admin on my SCD forum, has been posting her new detailing knowledge on various MINI forums, and has packed and processed a number of online orders. Of course in due time, I'll have a writeup on that as well, lol.

Next up (tomorrow) after this black AMG is a black Porsche Cayenne (possibly a black Audi today as well).....so just lots of work, and not a lot of time. But definitely we're both learning a lot from each other and having a great time at it.

Richard

So working for a vendor, makes you a vendor? Just curious, as I know other NAM members who work for vendors & they are not listed as vendors. No disrespect intended, just wondering. And it's quite clear now, Richard. Some of us were not aware that Ashley is working for you.

Depends I guess on how you are posting. It's my understanding that if you post as a vendor and represent that vendor, that --that makes you a vendor as well. Course, I don't know, you'll have to ask Mark for details.

As far as I'm concerned, Ashley's new role is one that she will be providing customer support, detailing advice, and product information here on NAM as a representative of SCD.

re: Ashley
Nope, I haven't made the public announcement yet---working on one though(she's only been here for a week now). =)

She is entirely within her element and learning fast on the forums she's advising on. I want her to develop her "car care" skills as her own "self" in her personal style and I'm here to guide her and advise her as she needs it.

bascially wat OG is saying is dont blame him if hammerette becomes
a nuisance cause she's not really connected to him or his business.
actually he doesn't even know her.

but if she's well received OG taught her everything and owns her.

nice terms and conditions, OG. hahaha

I don't ever feel much "love" on this forum, more a respect for those that bring knowledge and experience to the discussions. Now we do have a comraderie here, but that is more in supporting each other as we learn from one another, and apply what we have learned.

I for one say bring on any new ideas, techniques, products. Just be prepared to be challenged. Old dogs can learn new tricks, but it takes lots of treats

Aww, you don't feel love? I feel love!

No I agree, it's respect, which has come over a long time of earning it!

This post answered the question, so lets all just move along, and wash the inside of our mufflers shall we.
